New Christmas Songs You May Not Have Known

We all know Mariah Carey is the queen of Christmas songs, but did you know the other artists that have been releasing new festive tunes as well? From Billie Eilishto Tyler the Creator, great new Christmas songs are being recorded and released recently that would go well in your playlist to listen to while hanging out with family and friends be it at home or in the car too. Add these new holiday songs to your favourite music streaming platforms on top of the other classics and have yourself a merry little Christmas.

Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton
“You Make It Feel Like Christmas”

This song was released last year by the beautiful Gwen Stefani with Blake Shelton from her Christmas album. It doesn’t matter that they only released the video for “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” a year late because it is all glammed up with funny skits by the lovebirds.

Tyler the Creator feat. Fletcher Jones
“I Am the Grinch”

It seems so appropriate for Tyler the Creator to be featured on the soundtrack of The Grinch. This light-hearted and very cool “I Am the Grinch” single with Fletcher Jones is both bouncy and chaotic but remains a very loving holiday song that needs to play loud.

Billie Eilish
“Come Out and Play”

This new artist is one of the hottest acts to break boundaries in the music scene has delivered us with an amazing holiday ballad called “Come Out and Play.” This is a part of Apple Music’s holiday campaign and we are not mad at all for this melancholy tune that can be played at any time of the day.

John Legend
“Bring Me Love”

It’s hard to believe John Legend never released a Christmas album until this year. “Bring Me Love” is a fun and upbeat holiday song that will get you clapping and tapping. Add that with John Legend’s amazing vocals, it sure gives the feeling that is will be a great Christmas this year.

Sia
“My Old Santa Claus”

Who knew Sia would have released a Christmas, but she did last year. From the 2017 album titled Everyday is Christmas, “My Old Santa Claus” fuses her incredible pop formula and her unique vocals on this almost-sad song as she sings, “If Christmas is so green and so red, then why am I so blue?”

Sufjan Stevens
“Lonely Man of Winter”

This Christmas song by singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens captures a wonderful melancholic mood as he sings about the cold weather. Despite being known as an artist that delivers some of the best sad songs, he managed to incredibly turn “Lonely Man of Winter” to be on a slightly cheery, which is super enjoyable at the same time.

Aloe Blacc
“I Got Your Christmas Right Here”

A track from R&B singer Aloe Blacc’s Christmas Funk album, he delivers a sweet and simple holiday song to spread “love and cheer” on “I Got Your Christmas Right Here.” The simplicity of this song puts you in the mood to be with family and friends this Christmas morning.
