Ariana Grande Drops The Ultimate Self-Love Surprise Track

Ariana Grande’s personal relationships continue to make headlines, namely for her breakup with her longtime boyfriend Mac Miller, whose death from an apparent drug overdose shook the world, and her whirlwind engagement to “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson. For the most part, she’s kept to herself throughout the pain and noise, but this past weekend, she dropped a surprise track that is essentially every woman’s anthem.

In this track, titled “thank u, next”, she’s name-dropped her previous boyfriends Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez, even Pete Davidson and Malcolm aka Mac Miller. She dropped the song abruptly on Saturday night, half an hour before the first new episode of SNL since she and Davidson split.

It’s definitely no Taylor Swift-esque jab which typically embodied a lot of bitterness. The song was about the fact that she was good with all her exes, and is thankful for all the lessons she’s learned through those relationships.

“One taught me love, one taught me patience, and one taught me pain. Now I’m so amazing, said I’ve loved and I’ve lost, but that’s not what I see, so look what I got, look what you taught me, and for that I say, thank u, next…”

Through a response via her own official Twitter account, Ariana Grande has indicated that this is a song, which is going to part of an upcoming album.

We foresee that Ariana’s lovelife will continue to dominate entertainment news for at least the next few weeks, but in the meantime, she’ll be prepping for the “Sweetener” world tour, which will run from March to June of 2019.
