It’s the festival lineup that the entire universe looks out for, whether or not you’ll be going, Coachella will always be on your radar. Coachella released their lineup, and as usual, proving that two weekends in the desert for a music festival is totally worth it.
The headliners are massive. Aside from Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande, the acts include anybody who is anybody in the music scene, like Anderson .Paak, Khalid, CHVRCHES, Blackpink, Sheck Wes, H.E.R., and more.
Childish Gambino has also made waves in the scene this year, so it is hard to believe Coachella would leave him out. Especially after his Grammy-nominated (and potentially Grammy-winning) “This Is America” has swept the nation.
Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker has spent the recent years collaborating with artists like Rihanna, Travis Scott, and Kanye West, but rumour has it that the group is trying out “new sounds” for themselves.
This also marks a historic moment for Ariana Grande, as she becomes only the fourth female performer to ever headline the festival (after Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Bjork). Grande took to Twitter to express her excitement with a tweet reading, “humbled and excited as all hell @coachella thank u”.
