In the wake of all things rap feuds, it seems that there is a silver lining. As we are slowly taken into a whirlpool that is Eminem vs Machine Gun Kelly, Drake’s beefs seem to be re-emerging, as Kanye West apologizes to Drake in a Twitter spree after months of friction.
Pusha T went face-to-face against Drake months ago, and Kanye West and Kid Cudi, and a few other rappers were involved. Kanye West addressed the G.O.O.D. Music album rollout and speculations that the release date was set to stonewall Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ release.
Kanye West also mentioned that he did not feed Pusha T information about Drake’s secret son, which Pusha T shocked the whole world with in his diss track “The Story of Adidon”. On June 2, after the release of “The Story of Adidon”, Kanye tweeted, “I’ve never been about beef, I’m about love… lines were crossed and it’s not good for anyone… so this is dead now.”
Let me start by apologizing for stepping on your release date in the first place … We were building a bond and working on music together including squashing the issues with Cudi at our office.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 5, 2018
When I put the dates up I was a bit ramped up doing 25 tweets a day TMZ happened shortly after … I have to hop on the plane now… will type more when I land— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 5, 2018
since we were building as friends and brothers I should have spoken to Pusha about the Quentin Miller bar. There should have been no songs with my involvement that had any negative energy towards you— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 5, 2018
I did not have any conversations about your child with Pusha. I don’t play with the idea of people’s children after I spoke to Wiz a few years earlier.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 5, 2018
This is all Jedi level. I will be coming to your show within the next seven days to give love and be inspired by the art you have created.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 5, 2018
He took to Twitter and reposted Drake’s Instagram post that featured his tour, and Kanye West has expressed that he will be coming to one of Drake’s shows within the next seven days to “give love and be inspired by the art you have created.”
Do you think this is a stunt to outshine Eminem vs Machine Gun Kelly beef? Or do you think Kanye West is genuinely trying to make amends?
