Sir Elton John has seen an astonishingly prodigious career, making several marks in the world aside from his iconic musical classics. The English singer, pianist, and composer has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the best-selling music artists in history. He’s sweeped the Grammys, accepted an Academy Award, a Tony Award, and many more.
He celebrates his half-century career with a sizzling farewell tour, and the reviews are in. His tour, appropriately titled “Farewell Yellow Brick Road”, treats his fans with a blast for almost three hours of a blast from the past of his most legendary classics, with a sprinkle of emotional acknowledgement that we never get to see him perform again.
He kicked off the tour in Glendale, California, with visually stunning performances with emotional uses of video. Sir Elton John’s setlist for this concert could only bring back nostalgia, yet capturing all the beautiful moments of his career, and all the moving moments his songs have brought the world.
