The Beef Goes On: Nicki Minaj and Cardi B At It Again

It’s been a while since the shoe incident, where Cardi B reportedly threw her shoe at Nicki after Nicki had reportedly deliberately ripped Cardi’s dress at 2018 New York Fashion Week in September. But the feud goes on, and escalated even more so than usual, when Nicki Minaj called Cardi out on her Beats 1 show “Queen Radio”.

Discussing their altercation at that Fashion Week party, Nicki said that Cardi was attacked by Rah Ali, a friend of Nicki’s, rather than hit by security, as previously claimed. Nicki said that Rah Ali punched Cardi B in the head “9 or 10 times”. Nicki also offered a US$100,000 for surveillance footage of what happened that night.

In a rage, Cardi responded directly to Nicki in a spam of selfie videos on Instagram later on. “You lie so much you can’t keep up with your f*ckin’ lies,” Cardi said. “First you say you’ve got the footage, but then you say you wanna pay somebody $100,000 if they give you the footage? Yo, make sense when you’re talking!”

On her radio show, Nicki also claimed that Cardi prevented Offset and 21 Savage from doing a video for their London on the Track collaboration “No Flag”, and stopped 21 Savage from appearing on the remix to “Krippy Kush” (Travis Scott allegedly appeared in his place.) Cardi put that to rest by posting a conversation between herself and the producer of the Krippy Kush song, who claimed that 21 Savage was replaced because 21 had an issue with his kid and couldn’t make the video, not because of anything else.

Cardi also claimed that Nicki “barked at [her] managers” for giving Cardi a featured spot on G-Eazy’s “No Limit”. “Maybe I should sue you for defamation of character since you wanna claim that I’m using something called payola, because you don’t understand why I’m so f*ckin’ successful.”

Nicki has had her own responses to Cardi’s claims. “I’ll pay you to take a lie detector test about every claim I made on #QueenRadio,” she tweeted. “You won’t. I must admit you’re a convincing liar.” And then she invited Cardi to appear on Queen Radio. She took to Twitter to rage direct accusations at Cardi, calling her a fraud, and more.

Both women have claimed that they were tired of talking about their feud. “I’m tired of talking about it too,” Cardi said. “I’m tired of the f*cking whole internet sh*t, I’m tired of the interview sh*t. If you really wanna talk about it, you know where to link me. …We can talk about it, or we can fight it out. I’m with whatever.”
