The Black Widow Movie Sets Its Eyes on Female Director

Marvel is looking for a female filmmaker to direct the Black Widow movie, and Australian director Cate Shortland is believed to be at the top of the list, according to CinemaBlend.
The long-rumoured Black Widow solo feature movie starring Scarlett Johansson had begun looking at directors a few months back. This is no small feat, with large shoes to fill as Natasha Romanoff is one of the key players in the MCU crew, and she debuted way back in Iron Man 2.
A field of 49 candidates was narrowed down to a few contenders, all of whom have met recently with Kevin Feige and Scarlett Johansson. We’re all about the diversity that Marvel is bringing to its films, in front of and behind the camera. It’s more than hype! We’re stoked!
