The fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise are loudly anticipating Avengers 4, but there’s still one more movie that everyone needs to see before the key part of the narrative arrives.
Captain Marvel has released their second official trailer, after they released the first one back in September. In this film, they take us back to the 1990s, to tell Carol Danvers’ origin story, more of the story is revealed in the new trailer.
In the teaser trailer, there was a scene where Carol Danvers was on a subway train and punched an old lady in the face, which soon became a viral meme. This fight continues at the start of the new trailer.
From there, the trailer features a bit more dialogue between herself and Nick Fury on Earth, as well as her time among the Kree. Annette Bening’s mysterious alien character reveals that Carol was taken in by the Kree after nearly dying, and was shaped into a Kree warrior. “Noble warrior hero,” she corrects Nick Fury in the trailer.
But it isn’t until she returned to Earth where she learned about life and who she truly is. She drops an epic line, “I’m not going to fight your war. I’m going to end it.” A line that could possibly tie the movie with the Avengers series, where the last movie ended in a SOS call to Captain Marvel.
